The calendar we use today was invented by the ancient Egyptians. It was based on the moon cycles and had 12 months, however, each month was exactly 30 days. In order to keep the year in sync with the seasons the Egyptians added a 5-day festival at the year's end, giving us the 365-day year.
The first ever police force was founded in Egypt around 2500 BC. It was originally introduced to patrol and regulate the ships traveling on the Nile. By 1500BC it was an elite paramilitary police force known as the Medjay.
The first pyramid to be built was the Pyramid of Djoser, also known as the Step Pyramid which was built during the Third Dynasty and is just outside of Cairo.
Hatshepsut was the second Egyptian Pharaoh and also the longest reigning, she reigned from 1507 to 1458 BC, and she was also the fifth Pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty. The Temple of Hatshepsut is located on the West Bank of Luxor and is a must-see and is obviously included in the ElDeak Luxor Itinerary.
Egyptian-Hittite Peace Treaty was formulated in 1259 BC. It is the oldest known peace treaty and also the earliest example of a written international agreement.
Of the seven wonders, the Pyramid of Giza still remains standing. It is also the by far the oldest of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

Cairo the capital is the largest city by population in both Egypt and the Arab world. In 2022 the metro population is recorded as 21.75M, for comparison the total UK population is 67.5M.
The ancient language of the Egyptians the hieroglyphs was the formal writing system used in Ancient Egypt. Used to write the Egyptian language it combined syllabic, alphabetic, and logographic elements. The Hieroglyphics had some 1,000 distinct characters.
