This day tour in Cairo is filled with sightseeing of Egyptian sights from different eras of history. You will have the chance to visit the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx, Saqqara (Step Pyramid – Old Kingdom Tombs – Imhotep Museum), the Egyptian museum, and Old Cairo.
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel and start our day tour with the Giza Pyramids which are located on the Giza plateau. The first sightseeing you will discover is the amazing three pyramids. The Great Pyramid of Khufu, Khafra, and Menkaure. Our Egyptologist tour guide will explain everything about this great building and the amazement of the pharaohs. You will have free time to take photos and enjoy it.
After that, we will take you to the Great Sphinx (the oldest known monumental sculpture in Egypt and one of the most recognizable statues in the world)the protector of the Khafra pyramid. Our Egyptologist tour guide will explain everything about this mystery sculpture.
The next destination will be Saqqara. Saqqara is located on the southern of the great pyramids and it was the necropolis of Memphis. Saqqara is the oldest pyramid of Egypt, the pyramid of king Djoser. Imhotep was the master builder of this great step pyramid also we will see the temple of the step pyramid.
The next stop will be The Egyptian museum is located in the center of Cairo exactly in Tahrir Square. The museum is built in 1901 and it contains 120,000 artifacts, in this museum you will see all the history of Egypt from old history to modern history.
Our Egyptologist guide will join you to give you all the information about the treasures in the museum including the treasure of the golden king Tut Ankh Amoun. He will transfer you through Egyptian history.
Then our representative will take you to the Islamic and Coptic Cairo, starting with Amr Ibn Al-‘As mosque. Amr Ibn Al-‘As mosque is the first mosque built in Egypt. It is an airy landmark mosque featuring multiple minarets, a roomy inner courtyard & engraved marble.
Then you will move to see Ben Ezra’s Synagogue the oldest Egypt synagogue. Then you will have lunch at an Egyptian restaurant in downtown Cairo. Then we will take you back to your hotel.
