Be sure to pack swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. For the evenings, especially in winter, bring warm clothing as the desert can get cold.
While hotels in Siwa have Wi-Fi, the connection can be slow. Mobile phone signals can be weak or non-existent in the more remote desert areas.
Siwa has a unique and conservative local culture. It is respectful to dress modestly when walking through the town, covering shoulders and knees.
The mineral and sulfur springs are famed for their therapeutic properties, but be sure to drink plenty of bottled water to stay hydrated throughout your Siwa Oasis tour.
A: The drive from major cities like Cairo or Alexandria is long, typically taking around 8-10 hours. We use a comfortable, private, air-conditioned vehicle to ensure your journey is as pleasant as possible.
A: Absolutely. Siwa is known for being one of the safest and most welcoming destinations in Egypt. The local community is friendly, and you will be with an expert local guide throughout your Siwa Oasis tour.
A: The ideal time to visit is during the cooler months, from October to April. The weather is pleasant for exploring during the day, and the nights are cool. Summers can be very hot.
A: It is recommended to wear modest swimwear out of respect for the local culture. For women, a one-piece swimsuit or a t-shirt and shorts over a swimsuit is appropriate.

Based on 488 reviewsVerified A reunion with friends We met Ahmed in 2019 at his shop in Makadi and spontaneously took a family tour to Luxor with him. We had a great day with him, had the chance to experience the Welcoming of the family over lunch and got to know the typical Egyptian life there. The contact has remained throughout all these years and so we are now back in 2025. Yesterday we were in Luxor with Ahmed again and visited the tombs of the workers, Ramses III Temple, Karnak Temple and we finished with a wonderful sailboat ride on the Nile. Lunch with his family was of course also a must. His dear wife cooked a very, traditionally Egyptian meal for us. Thank you so much, it was fantastic. It was a super great reunion, a reunion with friends, where a lot was told and memories exchanged. A big thank you to Ahmed and his family. With you we got to know a real piece of Egypt, far away from tourism and hotels. These are experiences that will always be remembered. You opened the doors of your home, shared a delicious meal and especially your family values. It made my journey unique, filled with humanity and warmth.I would also like to thank your family wholeheartedly for welcoming me with such kindness and warmth. I will forever keep a precious memory of that day and your kindness. Olivier FVerified Cultural Discovery and Warm Welcoming We had a very good day, with Ahmed in Luxor where we visited the Luxor Temple and the Valley of the Kings. A wonderful welcoming and warm cultural meal at home with his family. We were able to visit their home and find out how they live. Maeva FVerified A great day in Luxor It was a very great day where we learned a lot, we visited a temple, visited the Valley of the Kings and took a great ride on the Niel. For dinner we went to Ahmed's house and ate there with his whole family and got to know the culture even better. Overall, it was a very educational day that we will not soon forget. Enzo FVerified Luxor & Cairo Our day trips on holiday to Luxor and Cairo were a real highlight – not least thanks to Ahmed, who led us through this fascinating country with a lot of passion. From the beginning everything was well planned, and yet there was enough room for spontaneous, personal experiences. We really appreciated how openly and extensively you responded to all our questions – thank you for that!Ahmed’s knowledge of Egypt’s history and culture is impressive, but much more than that, his open, warm-hearted manner inspired us. Through him we not only experienced the famous sights, but also gained a deep insight into Egyptian everyday life.A special moment was the visit to his family: His mother’s hospitality, atmosphere and delicious food – all this was simply unique and remains unforgettable. For us, this trip was not just a holiday, but an experience that touched and enriched us. If you want to get to know Egypt off the beaten track, EL Deak Tours is the place to be.Very clear recommendation – even we as two single women (mother and daughter) felt absolutely safe and in good hands at all times. 🌟 Antje KVerified Trip to Luxor and Cairo We were very lucky to make our trip to Egypt with Ahmed – and it was an unforgettable experience! 🌞 Even the tours to Luxor and Cairo were perfectly organized and incredibly enriching. ☺️ Ahmed not only introduced us to the impressive sights with his warm manner, but also gave us a very personal insight into Egyptian life. 🇪🇬An absolute highlight was the visit to his family. We were able to experience their hospitality, feel the warm mentality and enjoy his mother’s fantastic food – an experience that will stay with us for a long time to come.🙏🏻Ahmed made our trip very special. If you want to experience Egypt authentically and with a heart, you are in the best hands with him. Absolutely recommend!PS: even as two women we felt very safe with Ahmed around the clock! Maja KVerified Great day trip by plane to Cairo We booked a private tour for 2 people with Ahmed Eldeak with flight from Hurghada to Cairo. We were picked up at the hotel early in the morning and driven to Hurghada airport. The tickets for us were already purchased. Arriving in Cairo, our driver was already waiting for us at the airport and drove us to the Egyptian Museum. Our very good German speaking tour guide was already waiting for us here. We first visited the museum with him. He could really explain EVERYTHING to us and showed us things in the museum that were not seen by the larger groups. Afterwards we drove together with our driver to dinner and then to the pyramids. Again, our guide is with us at places around the pyramids to which the guided groups could not go at all because it is not actually allowed. This was only possible because our guide was known by the security guards and could therefore go with us to the places where no tourist usually comes. At the beginning of dawn, after visiting the Sphinx, we went to a bazaar road on which there were more locals than tourists. In a small street café we finished with an excellent mocha and chatted. Afterwards our driver drove us back to the airport. Arrived in Hurghada, a driver was ready for us at the airport again, who drove us back to the hotel. In summary, it was an all-round successful and perfectly organized day trip at a very fair price. We can recommend anyone to book a private tour instead of a group tour. Udo FVerified A nice wedding day with our daughter and Ahmed. We had a wonderful wedding day in Luxor with our daughter and our guide Ahmed. We started at 5.00am in the morning. We were picked up by a driver who took us safely and quickly through all the control slopes. As Ahmed had planned and registered our trip this went really smoothly. In Luxor Ahmed welcomed us with tea and cold drinks. Then we took the taxi motorboat over the Nile to Luxor Temple. Ahmed explained everything so well that you could put yourself in time. Thank you very much. Then we drove back across the Nile to the Valley of the Kings. There Ahmed told us about the individual graves and showed us them on a model. It gave us pleasure to listen to him. We looked at the different graves and Ahmed always had a lot of background knowledge what he gave us.Then we were in the stonemason village. There we were told the Processing of Alerbasta. We were allowed to try it ourselves. Then came the most impressive part of visiting the family. Outside the door greeted us the donkey of the family. And in the house the whole family. We were warmly welcomed by all family members. we had dinner together with the family. We are so grateful that we made this trip. And grateful for the insight into a completely different world (Egyptian culture, roads, traffic rules, family life,) THANK YOU. It was a perfect day that could not have been more beautiful. Silke BVerified EiDeak Tours just great!!!!!! Super tour with Ahmed . We have a super interesting and educational day with Ahmed Ahmed keep going so you are the best guide. Explore10126035811
